Overview
TANN is one of the leading manufacturers of RTOs in the world. We also specialize in thermal oxidizer repairs and upgrades for virtually all RTO makes and models. In February of 2022, TANN Corporation was awarded a full rebuild project of a competitor’s RTO. The RTO was experiencing failing media and cold face as well as decreased performance. The rebuild included a burner control upgrade, disabling of the NGI system, full tank modification, media replacement and poppet valve repairs. This rebuild allowed the customer to extend the working life of their RTO as well as improve the destruction efficiency.
Solution
TANN’s Engineering team designed a custom solution to retrofit the existing system. A new ceramic media bed design to improved airflow through the unit. Engineers also rebuilt the poppet valves to improve the performance of the overall system.
