Position Overview

This is a full-time, first-shift position working Monday – Friday at our corporate office in Kaukauna, WI. Occasional overnight and weekend travel may be required/available.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Utilize understanding of welding techniques used on all gauges of construction metals, including aluminum and stainless steel
  • Read and work from blueprints, layouts and other types of work orders
  • Operate basic hand/air tools including electric grinders and overhead cranes
  • Meet and maintain quality and performance expectations, including productivity, efficiencies and time management, all while maintaining high-level attention to detail
  • Contribute to maintaining an orderly, clean, safe and positive work environment
  • Understand safety practices and procedures and continually implement them in the workplace or while working remotely, maintaining a low-risk tolerance and high-risk awareness
  • Other duties may be assigned to accommodate the needs of the company and/or shop

Minimum Qualifications

  • Welding program diploma, job-related coursework, or equivalent experience
  • MIG welding experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow verbal and written work orders
  • Ability to problem-solve and implement solutions
  • Maintain punctual, consistent attendance
  • Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Can accurately use a tape measure, caliper and square
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Grinding, insulating, painting and/or assembly experience
  • Working knowledge of airflow and sheet metal design, oxidizers and heat recovery equipment

Physical Demands

  • Exposure to heavy steel fabrication, welding, painting and assembly environment
  • Frequent exposure to dust, noise and smells
  • Employees must be in good general health with good mental focus, agility, balance and vision (includes close vision work, depth perception and peripheral vision)
  • Pulling, pushing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, hand manipulation and standing for extended amounts of time
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move items weighing 50-75 pounds with either teammate or mechanical assistance
  • Exposure to all weather and temperature variations
