Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Manager with excellent communication and organization skills, along with experience managing and/or installing industrial equipment.

This full-time position is located at our corporate headquarters in Kaukauna, WI and will require ~30% travel to meet with customers and contractors. Qualified candidates will professionally represent TANN Corporation in all aspects of a project—most importantly customer relations and service.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of the project from beginning to completion
  • Provide excellent service and communication to ensure the customer is properly informed regarding all technical, schedule and cost related issues
  • Communication with all internal support departments regarding timeline, budget, supply chain issues, manpower and logistics
  • Track actual vs. planned project costs by performing cost calculations and adjusting accordingly to stay within budget
  • Review and approve purchase orders and invoices
  • Establish and maintain the project schedule
  • Requisition and request vendor quotes and paperwork for project related materials, sub-contractors and rental equipment
  • Organize requirements of the installation and commissioning of TANN equipment, including site supervision as required
  • Maintain a low-risk tolerance and high-risk awareness regarding safety practices and procedures
  • Demonstrate initiative to take on increased responsibilities given by management
  • Understand safety practices and procedures and continually implement them in the workplace or while working remotely

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering, or:
    • Equivalent experience in a related field may be considered
  • Possess the ability to perform the essential physical job functions/responsibilities of the position with high attention to detail in a timely, efficient manner
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative with minimal direction
  • Possess strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Communicate and work effectively with other departments and team members
  • Prioritize and work on multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, understand and work from blueprints, layouts, P&ID and other types of work orders/instructions
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of airflow and sheet metal design, oxidizers and heat recovery equipment
